“I highly recommend A & D Moving & Hauling. They make the whole process super easy, and they are professional, prompt, and right on time.”
Are the trucks and crew your own?
Yes, all of it. A & D runs six trucks from the Summit Ave yard with our own crew, licensed and insured, Ohio and interstate authority on file. Your job never gets passed to a broker or a rent-a-crew app.
How much will a move cost?
Two movers and a truck are $125/hr, three movers $185/hr, on a two-hour minimum. Expect a studio around $340–$480 and a two-bedroom around $760–$1,140, handed over as a written band first.
What does the “& Hauling” cover?
Junk removal by the same crew, same truck. Garage and basement cleanouts, estate haul-offs, and the old furniture or appliance you are replacing, sorted for the dump, the scrapper, or donation.
Is the written quote binding?
It is. The stairs, hills, long hauls, and heavy items are folded into the quote from the start, so the signed number holds. Want a ceiling? We are happy to set a not-to-exceed ceiling in the quote.
Do you require a deposit?
An $80 deposit books your date and comes off the final total. Give us two days notice to move or cancel and you get it all back.
How and when do I pay?
Payment is due at the finish, once the last box is down, never before. Cards, checks, or cash all work, and you approve the final total in person.
Do you move in the snow?
We do. We lay runners, salt and clear the steps, and wrap against the wet so a Cincinnati winter morning does not push your move back.
Can you do just a junk haul-off, no move?
Absolutely. Book the haul-off on its own, a garage, a basement, a full estate, and we quote it by the truckload after a couple of photos.
How far ahead should I book?
For a midweek date, a few days heads-up usually does it. Weekends and the last week of the month go quick when leases turn, so reach out early for those.
What if something gets damaged?
The standard tier is the federal sixty-cents-a-pound rule, and full-value coverage costs somewhere around 1 to 3 percent of what you declare. You get nine months to file a claim, and we log any issue right on the spot.
